In 2013, Coach Cimo asked his players to commit themselves to something more than just playing a baseball game. He wanted them to think about something bigger than themselves. Being touched by cancer in his own family, he desired something honoring this fight and so through his leadership and the hard work of several parents, lead by Laura Rabren, BPPAC was created.
Join us MARCH 24th for a fun-filled afternoon of baseball! We have asked Legends & Leaders from the Auburn community to play a 5-inning baseball game with Legends & Leaders from the Opelika community. Come watch these former athletes and city leaders as they dust off their cleats, and enjoy a lighthearted, friendly game of baseball!
Each Auburn and Opelika team will have 5 players (selected from those that raise over $500) compete in a Homerun Derby. There will be prizes for those that are able to hit an outfield sponsor sign!
Auburn Baseball will play Opelika Baseball in order to raise support and awareness of how many people are affected by Cancer in our community. Players will ask for support from local businesses and individuals that want to see our community have the highest quality and most compassionate care with the new Cancer Center of East Alabama. They will also sell t-shirts, Enter to Win tickets and laminated baseballs for the Honor Wall. Come support these players and the Auburn/Opelika community and watch some great baseball!
